GEORGE KITTLE
George Krieger Kittle (born October 9, 1993) is an American football tight end for the San Francisco 49ers of the National Football League (NFL). He played college football for the University of Iowa Hawkeyes, and was drafted by the 49ers in the fifth round of the 2017 NFL Draft. He is a three-time Pro Bowler and was a First-team All-Pro in 2019.
A native of Norman, Oklahoma, Kittle attended Norman North High School. He played basketball, baseball and football. In football, he was named first team all-district as a defensive end and tight end as both a junior and senior. As a junior, he had 51 receptions for 1,033 yards and 12 touchdowns on offense, while registering 60 tackles with five sacks on defense. As a senior, he posted 50 receptions for 701 yards and 10 touchdowns on offense, along with 53 tackles with four sacks on defense. He committed to play college football at Iowa over offers from Arkansas State and Wyoming among others.
