MAX FRIED
Max Dorian Fried, nicknamed "Maximus", is an American professional baseball pitcher for the Atlanta Braves of Major League Baseball. He was drafted by the San Diego Padres in the first round, seventh overall, in the 2012 Major League Baseball draft. He made his major league debut in 2017.
Fried, who was born and raised in Santa Monica, California, attended Harvard-Westlake High School, where he was a standout pitcher. Fried was ranked as the 12th best high school prospect of his class and earned several accolades for his pitching performance. After pitching in college for two years, he was drafted by the San Diego Padres in the first round of the 2012 Major League Baseball Draft. He was traded to the Atlanta Braves in December 2014 and made his MLB debut with them in 2018.
